Boppity Babies (0-18 months)

Babies are never too young to enjoy music. They have already felt the rhythm of your heartbeat from the womb and are naturally drawn to music.

This gentle, nurturing class just for babies is filled with songs, rhymes, bounces, bubbles, tickles and giggles, as we focus on building those special bonds between you and your baby. We will have fun celebrating your baby reaching special milestones - smiling, grasping, making vocal sounds, sitting up, shaking shakers and even taking those wobbly attempts to stand. Your baby will be introduced to new sounds and explore textures, colours and sensations.

Baby Classes include a welcoming hello song, simple bounces with nursery rhymes, parachute songs, sensory exploration time with themed trays, percussion instruments including bells, shakers and ocean drums, props including puppets, mirrors and lights, bubbles, relaxation with a lullaby, and a goodbye song.

Music has so many wonderful benefits for both you and your baby, including releasing endorphins and helping you both relax. It helps reduce stress and can make you feel happy. Music also stimulates your baby's brain connections, improving their memory and thinking skills, fine motor skills, and developing language and social-emotional skills. It's a brilliant all-round activity for your baby's first class!

Boppity Bunnies (Mixed ages 0-4 years)

Welcome to Boppity Bunnies for toddlers up to 4 years with their younger siblings. A mixed age family class for little people who are full of curiosity and fun and ready to play!

Get ready to sing, dance, play musical instruments, and explore exciting movement props like balls and hoops in this lively class. You can try a wide range of instruments including bells, shakers, drums, triangles, rhythm sticks and castanets, and you will meet lots of puppet friends along the way. We also use scarves, streamers, pompoms and wiggle sticks in these fun, interactive sessions.

Classes follow different themes each half term, with goals such as counting, learning colours, understanding opposites, and learning about animals
and the world around them.

All our activities are fun and accessible for everyone, and children can join in at their own pace - it doesn't matter if they just want to observe at the beginning. Everyone is welcome! The most important thing is that your little one feels valued and supported and can be encouraged to shine.

Young children learn best from repetition and routine so each class has the same structure every week, so the children become familiar with what comes next. They are encouraged to help with tidying instruments away, saying hello and waving goodbye to the Rabbit, and helping each other. We have calmer listening activities, and livelier times for jumping, marching and dancing. There is so much variety in every class!

Boppity Bunnies Nursery Classes

Boppity Bunnies Nursery Classes offer a gentle, child-centred music and movement curriculum which includes songs, movement, finger rhymes, percussion instruments, parachutes, bubbles and lots of wonderful props. My goal is to enable all children to experience music in a fun, interactive way with no pressure or judgement. Class activities support all areas of the EYFS curriculum and can be tailored to suit your particular needs, depending on your area of focus.

Through songs, dancing, movement games and percussion instruments, the children will be introduced to simple musical concepts such as rhythm, tempo and melody and build a foundation of musical skills to grow on. With my experience teaching early years music in nurseries over the past 20 years, I can support you and help you provide the very best musical start for your children.
